It Starts With You
Every order at Beamline Creations begins with a customer — someone who wants something that feels personal, not mass-produced. When you place an order and fill in your engraving details, that information comes directly to us. Not a warehouse. Not a fulfillment center. Us.
We Review Every Order by Hand
Before anything gets engraved, we read through your personalization details. We check for typos (it happens — we've saved a few "Happpy Birthdays" in our time), make sure the design will fit the product correctly, and confirm the file quality if you've uploaded a logo.
If something looks off, we reach out before we start. We'd rather take an extra hour to confirm than send you something wrong.
Setting Up the File
Once everything looks good, we set up the design in our engraving software. This means sizing it correctly for the specific product, adjusting for any curves or contours, and dialing in the laser settings — power, speed, and frequency — for the exact material we're working with.
Different materials require completely different settings. Stainless steel, leather, and wood each behave differently under the laser, and getting it right is part skill, part experience.
The Engraving
This is the part people always want to watch. The laser moves across the material in precise, rapid passes — burning, vaporizing, or marking the surface with incredible accuracy. Depending on the complexity of the design, it can take anywhere from 2 minutes to 20.
We stay close during the process. Every machine run is monitored — we don't just hit start and walk away.
Inspection & Finishing
When the laser finishes, we inspect the piece under good light. We're looking for clean edges, consistent depth, and sharp detail. If something isn't right, we remake it. Full stop.
Then we clean the piece — removing any residue from the engraving process — and do a final quality check before it gets packaged.
Packaging & Shipping
We package every order carefully. Custom items deserve more than a bubble mailer tossed in a box. Once it's packed, it ships from our Missouri studio with a tracking number sent straight to your inbox.
